Housewarming Party

As my husband and I are first-time homeowners, we are in the throws of planning a housewarming party in the next couple of weeks.  So, I was inspired to share some of my personal favorite ideas for housewarming gifts that are both useful and budget-friendly.

                                                              Charcuterie/ Cheese Board Set
These are one of my favorite things to put together when we have guests over because of their versatility and how easy they are to make.  You can add an array of meats, cheeses, jams, and flavors for any gathering!  This one I found on Amazon is $30 and comes with an entire set of bamboo boards, cheese cutlery, bamboo coasters - the works!

                                                                       Outdoor Wreath
From ancient Roman times, hanging a wreath on a door symbolized victory.  In today's world, owning a new home is a win in my book, so a wreath is a perfect way to give an empty home warmth and character.  It's sort of the beginning touches one can make to their new home to add their own flair.  If you are going to give one as a gift, make sure the colors are neutral, like whites and greens.  I've found some beautiful ones here, here, and here, all for under $25.

                                                                             Tool Set
With any new house, there will be things that need to be fixed, tightened, readjusted, etc.  A tool set is a very useful gift for anything that needs fixing. I found one here on Amazon for around $30.

                                                                   Outdoor Welcome Mat
Just like a wreath, a welcome mat is also a great gift to give new homeowners, especially ones that have "Established (date)" on them!  I've pulled together some of my favorite mats here, here, here, here, and here.

                                                                Framed Artwork or Picture
One of the most thoughtful housewarming gifts we received was a framed picture of us on our closing day!  It was such a sweet and cute idea that they used the photo we posted on social media and had it framed specially to place in our new home.  This is also an easy DIY gift that is super easy to make.

                                                                             Gift Cards/ Money
This is a given.  This is probably the most useful gift that new homeowners would like to get!  Gift cards to any hardware stores (i.e. Lowe's, Home Depot, Ace Hardware), department stores (i.e. Walmart, Target), and even home decor stores (i.e. Home Goods, At Home, Pier One) would be great gifts for new homeowners!

I hope this gives you some great ideas for the next housewarming party you are invited to!

Have a blessed day!
